This is sorta taken from a Garfield, isn't it? I seem to remember Jon reading Garfield recipies...

Oh well. I love Satch's face in the last panel! :)

Probably, but it's fairly hard to find 100% original ideas huh?
I think this was totally cute though

Oh, of course... and comic strip artists do it all the time. I was just making sure I wasn't making it up :)

Highly doubt you're making it up... afterall, it IS garfield... whatelse would someone read to him other than about 101 ways to kill a spider or something.

That's how I learned to read. My mom likes to quote me a lot: "Hey, mommy, this has maltodextrin too!"

this reminds me of the gigli trailer when ben affleck reads off the charmin/tobasco wrapper to the guy trying to go fall asleep.

Hm. They showed it on a bustrip to... I don't know. Germany probably. Can't remember. I think I almost managed to ignore it. But I did consider that to be a cruel and unusual punishment.

my friend just got out of the hospital, and i took her to rent some movies. And well, she picked Gigli. (I think it was the pain meds) But i must say, if you go into watching it with REALLY low expectations. The movie is actually not TOO bad, there are a few really funny lines in it.

and now i am going to hide in a hole for having watched it. But what was i supposed to do? She just got out of the hospital.

I almost never say this .. but Satch looks SO content all snuggled in bed thinking about his Lucky Charms.

This is why we need to read to our kids, people!! see how beneficial this is? /teacher-esque rant. ;)

Actually, this is almost bizarre. In Get Fuzzy world, they read to doggies and scratch children bellies?

addendum: CUTE and content.

Satch: "Mmm. Modified corn starch."

Homer: "Mmm, donut."

Rob is so good with atchel. What woman wouldn't want a man like that? If Rob Wilco were REAL. He would be my dream man. Rugby playing, animal loving, sweetheart. *Sigh* So dreamy.

And he looks so debonaire with his reading glasses.

This reminds me of when I was a little girl and had a crush on Launchpad McQuack. Not only was he a cartoon, but he was a duck. I don't think I'll ever be right.

Now I am reliving the pain of when I was told by my parents that I could never marry Launchpad. It hurts.
